Place a Job Order — start to finish¶
This is a single, do-it-yourself walkthrough. Follow every step with the sample data shown and you will go from nothing to a fully placed (approved) job order. It uses the lot path (the longer one); the work-permit path is the same minus steps 4–5.
What you'll need
A login that can manage recruitment, and rights to approve (for steps 2 and 6). In a small team one person does all of it; in a larger team the approval steps are done by a higher authority.
Step 1 — Register the employer¶
- Recruitment → Employers → New Employer.
- Enter:
- Company Name: Gulf Manpower Test Co
- Country: United Arab Emirates
- Email: hr@gulfmanpower.test · Phone: +971 50 000 0000
- Registration Number: REG-TEST-001
- Government Agency: Ministry of Labour UAE
- Registered Address: Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai
- Save Employer. You'll see “Employer registered — sent for approval.”
➡️ Full detail: Employer Registry.
Step 2 — Approve the employer¶
- On Employers, click Approvals.
- Find Gulf Manpower Test Co on the Pending tab and click Approve.
- Message: “Employer approved — they can now receive job orders.”
Checkpoint
The employer is now Approved + Active and will appear in the Job Order dropdown.
Step 3 — Create the Job Order¶
- Recruitment → Job Orders → New.
- Tick Lot Number (top-right).
- Contract & Employer:
- Client (Employer): Gulf Manpower Test Co — its Address/Country auto-fill below.
- Total Headcount: 20 · Currency: AED · Basic Salary: 1200.
- Add Position twice:
- Mason — Male 10 @ 1300, Female 0.
- Cleaner — Male 6 @ 1100, Female 4 @ 1000.
- Benefits:
- Food → tick → Allowance → amount 150.
- Accommodation → tick → Provided.
- Save Job Order. It gets a number like JO-000004 and opens its Workflow page.
➡️ Full detail: Job Orders.
Step 4 — Embassy attestation¶
On the Workflow page (status Waiting for Embassy Attestation):
- Attestating Embassy Name: Nepal Embassy, Abu Dhabi
- Attestation Reference No: ATT-555 · Attestation Date: (pick a date)
- Attested Document: (optional upload)
Click Save & Continue → status becomes Waiting for Purba Syukriti / Pre-Approval.
Step 5 — Pre-approval (purba syukriti)¶
- Chalani No: CHL-7001 · Pre-Approval Date: (pick a date)
- Lot No: LT-2026-99 · Lot Expiry Date: (pick a later date)
Click Submit for Approval → status becomes Submitted for Approval.
➡️ Full detail: Workflow & Approval.
Step 6 — Higher-authority approval (place it)¶
- Job Orders → Approvals.
- Find your order and click Approve.
- Status becomes Job Order Placed and a “it is now locked” message appears.
It's now locked
The order is read-only everywhere. To change anything you'd have to raise a new order — there is no unlock.
Step 7 (optional) — Record compliance dates¶
Open Job Orders → your order → Workflow, or /job/orders/compliance, pick the order, and fill the
DoFE processing dates (Demand Attestation, Advertisement, Final Doc Submission, Interview…).
➡️ Full detail: Compliance.
🎉 Done. You registered and approved an employer, raised a multi-position demand with benefits, walked the full lot workflow, and had it placed and locked.
Work-permit shortcut: repeat steps 1–3 but don't tick Lot Number (tick Work Permit Required instead). The order is Submitted for Approval immediately after step 3 — skip steps 4–5 and go straight to step 6.
