Interoperability

Exchange clinical data with external systems — labs, pharmacies, imaging, government registries — over HL7 and FHIR, and audit every message.

Medical → Interoperability (/medical/interop) shows enabled, disabled, and in-error endpoint counts, plus failed messages and messages processed today.

Endpoints

Interop → Endpoints (/medical/interop/endpoints) — configure an interface: code, type (HL7v2 / FHIR / REST / SFTP), direction (Inbound / Outbound / Bidirectional), address, and credentials. Toggle it Enabled / Disabled (or it shows Error when failing).

Message log

Interop → Messages (/medical/interop/messages) — the audit trail of every exchange: endpoint, direction, status (Processed / Pending / Failed), payload, and error details. Filter by status or by interface. Reprocess a failed message after fixing the cause.

Why is the log empty?

Messages appear when the deployment's integration engine delivers traffic to the inbound receive API, or when staff log one manually via Log Message. A newly registered interface shows no messages until it actually sends or receives — that's expected, not a fault. Message traffic also stamps the endpoint's last contact time.

Standards

HL7 v2 for legacy feeds, FHIR for modern APIs. Use this to receive external lab results, send discharge summaries, or push data to national systems.
